STEPANAKERT, MAY 31 , ARTSAKHPRESS: The precise target of the attack, believed to be a car bomb, was not immediately clear, with many embassies and government buildings located in the same area.

The blast struck at around 8:30am local time Wednesday.

Pajhwok Afghan News reports that “dozens” of people were killed in the blast and more than 100 injured. Earlier, the agency cited the Health Ministry as saying that at least 60 people were hospitalized.

"It was a car bomb near the German embassy, but there are several other important compounds and offices near there too. It is hard to say what the exact target is," a police spokesman said, as cited by Reuters.
