According to Babayan, such meetings contribute to peace and stability preservation.
"The Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement should be viewed in two dimensions. The first is the is the resolution of the conflict itself and the second is the maintenance of the stability and peace in the region. It is too early to expect any progress in the settlement process, taking account the fact that the parties have almost contradictory approaches; especially Azerbaijan with its destructive policy does not inspire hope that soon any progress in the settlement process is possible.
“So the main emphasis is put on the maintenance of peace and stability in the region,” said Babayan and noted that today, during the meeting they discussed wide range of issues related to the conflict settlement , as well as the internal development of Artsakh situation, introduction of new mechanisms, etc. President welcomed the targeted statement of co-chairs.
