Quake damages part of Tigranakert fortress

STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 17, ARTSAKHPRESS:Minister of culture, youth affairs and tourism of the Republic of Artsakh, Sergey Shahverdyan, wrote on Facebook.

“The consequences of the quake in Tigranakert. Luckily, historical buildings were not damaged. Only the part built in 1970 was damaged.”

Earlier it was reported that a magnitude-5.3 earthquake occurred Wednesday night in Azerbaijan. The earthquake was felt virtually all over Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), where it measured magnitude 2-3 and 3-4, respectively.
