The first solar power station to be built in Artsakh with foreign investments
STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 17, ARTSAKHPRESS:Speaking about solar energy development in Artsakh, State Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan, told the reporters about the aforementioned.
''Besides Shushi a similar project will be launched in the Askeran region, where public buildings will switch to the consuption of renewable energy. As you know, these projects will be carried out by the means collected during last year's telethon by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund,'' Mr. Harutyunyan said.
As the State Minister informed construction of 1 MW solar power plant in the Ivanyan community of Askeran region is envisaged. The project will be launched with foreign investments. Arayik Harutyunyan added that the government intends to boost the gradual development of solar energy.
