A cruel crime was committed in Maragha. It was based on the policy of occupying Artsakh without Armenians and ethnic cleansing.
Maragha pogroms were result of ethnic cleansing, Davit Babayan
STEPANAKERT, APRIL 10, ARTSAKHPRESS:Speaking about massacres carried out by Azerbaijani armed forces in Maragha on April 10, 1992, Artsakh republic Presidential Spokesperson, Davit Babayan, told Artsakhpress about the aforementioned.
“Taking into account impunity factor, we see how Azerbaijan becomes more xenophobic and fascist. International community should condemn the crime committed in Maragha. Not condemning it creates a new ground for the repetition of such crimes in different countries of the world. Recognition of this slaughter by the international community is one of our important and priority issues,’’ Davit Babayan added.
To remind, on April 10, 1992 Maragha was attacked by the Azerbaijani forces. As the result of the attack 43 peaceful residents were tortured to death.
