Commemoration events dedicated to memory of Armenian Genocide innocent victims held in Stepanakert, Artsakh (photos)

On April 24, on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, hundreds of people visited Memorial Belfry built in memory of Armenian Genocide innocent victims in Artsakh to pay tribute to their memory.

STEPANAKERT, APRIL 24, ARTSAKHPRESS:As ArtsakhPress correspondent informs, President of the Artsakh parliament, Ashot Ghulyan; State Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan; Artsakh President’s chief of staff, Marat Musaelyan; MPs; state figures; people of Stepanakert and guests visited the Memorial Belfry. They laid flowers and wreaths to the memory of the Genocide victims.

Head of Artsakh diocese, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, held a commemoration service.

Speaking about the Genocide, the Archbishop said that  nationwide movement of 1988 helped the Armenian people to build statehood with all its structures. This prevented Azerbaijan from carrying out another genocide.

To inform, on Tuesday, commemoration events dedicated to the memory of Genocide victims are being held in all the regions of Artsakh.
