STEPANAKERT, JUNE 7, ARTSAKHPRESS: Jivan Avetisyan told ArtsakhPress abouit the aforesaid.
Speaking of the works being carried out, Jivan Avetisyan said that currently the sites of the shooting are being prepared in Askeran region’s Harav village.
In the upcoming month they will be gathering citizens for the film.
“Shootings of the film will finish in August. Starting from September the shootings of the film will continue in Europe. The film will be finished in spring of 2019.
“Outstanding foreign actors from Lithuania, France and the US act in “Gate to Heaven” film,’’ Jivan Avetisyan said.
According to the film director the film is about a war journalist, who has made a mistake in his life and the mistake tortures him during his whole life. The events of the film take place during the April four-day war. Romanticism, dramatism and internal conflict are present in the film.
Jivan Avetisyan emphasized that the aim of the film is to make Artsakh recognizable on international platforms.
Artsakh government, Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, as well as “Artsakh Arts and Cultural Foundation” operating in the US provide support to the film’s shootings.
Founder of “Artsakh Arts and Cultural Foundation”, Garo Madenlian, who is currently in Artsakh, told ArtsakhPress that they continue to support Jivan Avetisyan’s film’s shootings.
He noted that earlier, owing to the support of “Artsakh Arts and Cultural Foundation”, Jivan Avetisyan’s film “The Last Inhabitant” was shown in the US “Alex” cinema.
Speaking of the support to be shown for “Gate to Heaven” film, Mr. Madenlian said that they have promised to allocate 50,000 US dollars.
According to Garo Madenlian, Jivan Avetsiyan manages to present Artsakh and its heroic history to the world through his films.
