Number of visitors to Matenadaran-Gandzasar scientific-cultural center increased

In the first semester of the running year, Matenadaran-Gandzasar scientific-cultural center has already had about 5000 local and foreign tourists, as compared with 3500 of the same period of the last year, director of the scientific-cultural center, Aram Torosyan, told ArtsakhPress.

STEPANAKERT, JUNE 19, ARTSAKHPRESS: He informed that like the previous years, this year also the number of visitors from the Russian Federation prevails.

“Matenadarana-Gandzasar scientific-cultural center is going to cooperate with a number of tourism organizations. We are confident that the number of visitors to Matenadaran-Gandzasar will significantly increase as a result of implementation of a range of marketing projects,’’ Aram Torosyan said.

He next said that, a day before, the center’s board of trustees set the prices for entrance tickets, as well as a graphic for the center’s working days and hours.

Speaking of the prices, the director said that the entrance fee is AMD 250, presentations in Armenian and in foreign languages are 1000 AMD and 2000 AMD respectively.

“Schoolchildren and children under six, servicemen of Armenian armed forces and Artsakh’s defense army, student groups, state and official delegations, persons with limited physical abilities, retired people and veterans of Artsakh liberation war can visit the center at no cost. School and student groups, state and official delegations can visit Matenadaran-Gandzasar free of charge only if they have applied beforehand,’’ A. Torosyan added.

He informed that a website for the scientific-cultural center has been launched: Gandzasar@matenadaran.am.

 Working hours of Matenadaran-Gandzasar are 11 a.m. - 4:30 p. m. on Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. Monday is a non-working day.

Aram Torosyan said the scientific-cultural center needs a guide with excellent knowledge of English.
