On Monday, at the joint initiative of Stepanakert City Hall and Artsakh's Football Federation, the annual city football tournament, ''Leather Ball – 2018'', was launched in the stadium of ''Vallex Garden'' hotel complex in Stepanakert.

STEPANAKERT, JUNE 25, ARTSAKHPRESS: Fourteen teams, each with six players, partook in the tournament.
Stepanakert mayor, Suren Grigoryan, made an opening speech at the event. He said that this tournament has always interested young athletes.
The mayor said that athletes from Artsakh always bring honor to their country while participating in football tournaments.
Suren Grigoryan wished the participants a fair and impartial game.
Referee, Erik Galstyan, told ArtsakhPress that the aim of the game is to reveal Artsakh's best players, promote the playing of football, organize events for the leisure time of children and adolescents and form the habit of healthy lifestyle.
He said that there are a lot of talented children in Artsakh, and that coaches should train with the children in order to develop their interest in this sport.
The placing teams will be awarded diplomas and the players with monetary rewards.
To note, the tournament will end on June 28.
