STEPANAKERT, JULY 3, ARTSAKHPRESS: As ArtsakhPress correspondent informed, at the conference he summed up the works carried out during the nine months of his tenure, as well as presented the reason of his resignation.

''I have posted information on my resignation on my Facebook page. I have noted that I will continue my work in the public sphere,'' Sergey Shahverdyan said.

Sergey Shaverdyan presented implemented works according to spheres.

''During this ten years we were able to provide Artsakh's presence in abroad. In 2008 we had only 4000 tourists. Owing to our work, that number is increasing year by year. In 2017 this number stood at 28000. In the first five months of 2018 105 per cent growth was recorded. This is unprecedented,'' Sergey Shahverdyan said.

In his words, during the nine months, one of their main tasks in the culture sphere was to separate culture from leisure.

''Starting from the first day of our activity we attached importance to restoration of [Vahram Papazyan] theater's building. Blueprints of the theater's restoration have started. Our aim was to restore the theater with nationwide efforts, just the way it was built in 1952,'' former minister of culture said.

Out of the implemented projects, Sergey Shahverdyan marked out recently launched Artsakh.Travel website and ''Aytsetoms'', which regularly informs public about upcoming events.

At the conference, Sergey Shahverdyan answered reporters' questions.
