STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 13, ARTSAKHPRESS: In an interview with "Artsakhpress" Deputy Mayor of Stepanakert Armen Hakobyan said that during the meeting, Suren Grigoryan presented the daily life of the capital, the problems of the people and the ways of their solution. Mayor gave some details on the huge support by all Armenians in the direction of elimination of the disasters of war, the large-scale construction and reconstruction works carried out by the intervention of the country's authorities.
"We told our guests that Stepanakert is becoming more beautiful and prosperous every day," the Deputy Mayor noted.
According to our interlocutor, Mayor of Glendale Zareh Sinanyan thanked Suren Grigoryan for the warm welcome on behalf of the delegation and assured that they will continue further cooperation.
''Glendale Mayor Zareh Sinanyan attached importance to the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora contacts and expressed readiness to take any useful action for the capital Stepanakert.
'For the first time he was in Artsakh during war when Shushi, Stepanakert and other Armenian settlements were being shelled. Now he is surprised to see Stepanakert so beautiful and prospering and the citizens so happy, "Armen Hakobyan added.
California State Senator Anthony Portantino, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Artsakh to the USA Robert Avetisyan and others were present at the meeting.
