STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 17ARTSAKHPRESS:  ArtsakhPress reports that the organizer of the conference Vahan Babakhanyan said that the conference kicked off in Yerevan on September 14. 30 people from Russian Federation, US, Armenia and Artsakh Republic are participating in the conference.
During the conference they submitted their reports. Babakhanyan says the aim of the conference is to qualify the massacres of 1918 as genocide.
"This year in September, we mark the 100th anniversary of the massacres of Armenians in Baku. The reports of this conference should be published in different languages and should be disseminated everywhere because they are real facts that speak about the genocide against Armenians,''said Babakhanyan.
The Deputy RA NA Speaker Vahram Balayan welcomed the participants of the conference and said that the topic is actual and it is no secret that today the war is not only in the field of war, but also in the field of propaganda.
V. Balayan said that it is noteworthy that Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity is involved in such conferences.
At the conference, Balayan made a report on the "Massacres of Armenians of Shoushi on March 23, 1920 and their Consequences."
According to Stepan Dadayan, the director of the Artsakh Scientific Center, the work of the conference,  is important from a number of points of view, especially since its participants emphasized the importance of holding the second part of the event in Artsakh, to emphasize the political importance of the international conference.
Dadayan said that Azerbaijan, as a fake and created artificial political creation by the joint efforts of the Young Turks and Musavats, marked its beginning in September 1918 with massive massacres of Armenians.

At the conference congratulatory messages of Baroness Caroline Cox, member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Hripsime Tamazyan, the director of the fund of the preservation of Armenian Gene were read.
