Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Artsakh and "Teach for Armenia" have re-signed memorandum of understanding

Today the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh and "Teach for Armenia" educational foundation have re-signed a memorandum of understanding, setting the content and scope of the partnership for the next ten years.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 8ARTSAKHPRESS: ''Artsakhpress'' reports that the memorandum was signed by the Minister of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh, Narine Aghabalyan and Larisa Hovannisyan, Director of '' Teach for Armenia " Educational Foundation.


"Artsakh is of strategic importance to us. It is the fourth year we send specialists to different regions of Armenia, but we attach great importance to sending specialists to Artsakh. The aim of the cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and the Foundation is to continue to involve young specialists in the field of general education and to ensure quality education for pupils. I am hopeful that as a result of joint efforts will have visible results in the nearest future," added Larisa Hovannisian.
Narine Aghabalyan noted that it is the second year that the participants of '' Teach for Armenia'' live and teach in the villages of Artsakh.
''Thirteen more specialists have joined the 4 ones of the previous year. It is known that in remote villages of Artsakh there is a need for specialists. The ministry makes efforts for in this direction. In this respect "Teach for Armenia" is a primary partner for us.
As a result of effective cooperation with the ministry, the most vulnerable schools have been discovered, where specialists have already been sent. Due to continuing work, this number will increase year after year, as a result of which more pupils will be involved in the project activities," N. Aghabalyan said.
