STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 8ARTSAKHPRESS: As "Artsakhpress"reports, the Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Narine Aghabalyan in her speech said that it was planned to organize the festive event on October 5, on Teacher's Day.

''Unfortunately, it has been postponed because of French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour's death. Today, we want to express our gratitude to our teachers; people whose role is invaluable in the education and upbringing of generations.

Our teachers educated a generation that has won a war in Artsakh, and today they also contribute to state building. Today, the role of the teacher has changed. She should be the advisor and assistant of pupils on the road to achieving goals. We also should create conditions to increase the number of pupils living in the village and ensure quality education for them.

We should be able to invest additional funds to properly assess teachers ' work and to keep their reputation high. The problems of education sector have always been in the spotlight of the authorities. Over 100 schools and pre-school institutions have been built or renovated in Artsakh over the past seven years and thousands of children have been provided with modern conditions, " Aghabalyan noted.

The pupils of cultural centers performed songs, dances.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport awarded a number of teachers with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.
