"Colors of Dizak" Exhibition held in Stepanakert's Gallery

On the joint initiative of the Union of Artists of Artsakh and the Department of Culture and Youth Affairs of Hadrut, an exhibition of works by participants of the International Paintings Symposium entitled "Colors of Dizak" was held in Stepanakert's gallery.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 12, ARTSAKHPRESS: 50 canvases were presented at the exhibition. In an interview with ''Artsakhpress'', the head of the department of culture and youth affairs of Hadrut regional administration Erazik Hayriyan noted that such an exhibition is organized in Stepanakert for the first time.

Speaking about the organization of the symposium, E. Hayriyan said that idea was born in 2016 during the meeting with the head of the Karvachar theater, Gevorg Babakhanyan  during their meeting in Hadrut.

"For the first time in 2017, 10 artists from Artsakh and Armenia participated in the international painting symposium titled" Colors of Dizak "and 18 artists from Artsakh, Armenia and the Russian Federation in the second event organized in 2018. During the symposium, the number of art works reached 97. We also participated in the "Art and Crafts" International Festival in Dilijan.
We have invitations from abroad. He also informed that there are two arts schools in Hadrut, as well as a children's creative center, where students attend the painting group.
According to Lernik Hovhannisyan, Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism of Artsakh, the paintings presented at the exhibition featured places of world-famous historical and cultural heritage of Dizak.

The minister also said that Artsakh should also be recognized thanks to its culture.

Member of the Artists' Union of Artsakh Yuri Hovhannisyan highlighted the importance of organizing such exhibitions and underlined that ''Colors of Dizak" exhibition is a unique patriotic step.

"The presented photos tell about Dizak, his rich historical past, wonderful nature, everyday life and so on.

Chairman of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Artsakh, Hovik Gasparyan, head of the regional administration of Hadrut Ivan Avanesyan, Artsakh artists, art lovers and others were present at the event.
