Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan held talks in Ankara on Wednesday with the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who arrived in the country on a working visit.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 17, ARTSAKHPRESS: Pompeo held separate meetings with Erdogan and Cavusoglu, each lasting around 40 minutes, Daily Mailreported.
Erdogan held talks with Pompeo at the airport, as the Turkish leader headed to Moldova immediately after the negotiations.
Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry reported the sides would discuss the Syrian crisis with Pompeo, as well as the missing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
According to the State Department, Pompeo will also offer Turkey assistance in investigating the disappearance of a journalist and “will welcome the decision of the Turkish authorities to release Pastor Andrew Brunson”. The parties will also discuss other issues relevant for the two countries.
