On October 18, a cross stone-monument opening ceremony took place in the village of Vank of the Martakert region on the occasion of the death anniversary of the Armenian philanthropist and businessman Levon Hayrapetyan.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 18, ARTSAKHPRESS: Martakert regional newspaper "Jraberd"informs, detailing that the cross stone was erected by the efforts of the fellow-villagers, in gratitude to the great Armenian.

The head of Vank community Andrey Sargsyan, the director of Gurgen Hayrapetyan secondary school Aramayis Balayan and the benefactor and fellow villager Arsen Ionisyan delivered speeches at the event. The honor of the opening of the cross stone was given to 12th grade pupils of Gurgen Hayrapetyan secondary school Garegin Abrahamian and Armen Aharonyan. Then a blessing ceremony was held, after which the attendees of the event laid flowers to the monument.

Afterwards, a requiem service took place in Gandzasar monastic complex for the peace of the philanthropist.


The opening ceremony was attended by the head of Martakert regional administration Edgar Harutyunyan, guests and others.
