Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who is a US resident and Washington Post columnist, has not been seen since entering Saudi Arabia's consulate in Istanbul on October 2.
According to the authorities of Saudi Arabia, Khashoggi disappeared after he left the building of the consulate, the mission cooperates with the Turkish authorities to clarify the circumstances of his disappearance. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that Saudi Arabia must prove its non-involvement in the disappearance of the journalist.
Turkey received permission from Saudi Arabia to inspect its consulate general in Istanbul.
Earlier, Turkish media reported that during the first inspection, experts took soil samples in the courtyard of the building, and used ultraviolet radiation to search for traces of blood inside the building. The inspection of the embassy lasted more than 9 hours. According to media reports, police allegedly found evidence in the building indicating the killing of Khashoggi.
