STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 25, ARTSAKHPRESS: Arayik Harutyunyan, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh, wrote this on his Facebook page, mentioning the example of Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, who recently announced about concrete steps for boosting the import of electric cars, promising to exempt the owners of these transport means from taxes and customs registration.
"In many European countries, they are also planning to abandon the exploitation of traditional motor vehicles in the next decade. As compared to them, the electric cars are pollution-free and less expensive.
For realization of this initiative in Artsakh I am going to show it by my example and to import the first electric vehicle to Artsakh and also as the head of the fraction, to discuss this issue and include it in our agenda", Harutyunyan wrote.

The head of the leading political party of Artsakh, during whose premiership construction of hydroelectric power stations has been initiated also concerned the current projects in this field, having noted that a few days ago on the Trge and Lev rivers, by ''ArtsakhHek'' Open joint stock company and by means of foreign investors several small hydroelectric power stations have been put into operation which will even more strengthen power independence of our republic.

"I think that due to current and planned energy projects, electricity generation will exceed our expectations in the coming years by raising Artsakh's strategic independence from external communications,'' he wrote
