Press conference of Minister of Culture, Youth and Tourism of Artsakh Lernik Hovhannisyan dedicated to 100 Days in Office took place on October 25.
This year the number of tourists visiting Artsakh increased by 18%. Minister of Culture, Youth and Tourism of Artsakh summed up the 100 days in office
"Our adopted cultural policy is aimed at dissemination of cultural values and training of workers. Projects aimed at ensuring the youth's self-realization and development are implemented, some of them in Artsakh's regions. There are many things we need to do in the field of youth policy, "said Hovhannisyan.
Touching upon the works carried out, Hovhannisyan said: ''The tourism potential of Artsakh was presented at different trade fairs, exhibitions, and trainings were organized.
For the second time, the ''Tourist Bus'' tour travel project has been implemented, which has greatly facilitated the movement of local and incoming tourists to Artsakh. From October 17 to 24, training seminars for hotel business development have been organized. Together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs an information center has been opened where information about the activity of Artsakh's tourism is presented, as well as the offline information terminal operates there.
The number of tourists during the 9 months of this year amounted to 24,213 people, which is 18% more as compared to the same period of 2017.
