STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 25, ARTSAKHPRESS: In response to the question of "Artsakhpress", Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism of Artsakh Lernik Hovhannisyan stated this at the press conference October 25, adding that the money allocated by the state budget has already been given to the local residents for completing the interior construction of Gtchavank and restoration works of church.

Referring to the preservation of a number of other historical and cultural monuments in the territory of Artsakh, the minister noted that monitoring was conducted and the condition of a number of monuments of Askeran, Hadrut, Martakert, Kashatagh and Shahumyan regions was studied.

Numerous monuments were discovered, including the Vahanbey Bridge in the Martakert region. A schematic plan was developed for strengthening and restoration in the near future. In addition, the reconstruction works of the church in the village of Tsakur in the Hadrut region have begun.

Hovhannisyan noted that the department cooperates with the ''Tufenkian'' charitable foundation; in particular, with the financial support of the foundation, the church of Hochants village of Kashatagh region is being restored now.
