At the initiative of the Artsakh State Dance Ensemble and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, teleconference was held between the students of the Artsakh Dancing College and the students of the Vicente López Armenian School in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 21, ARTSAKHPRESS: In an interview with ''Artsakhpress'', representative of the Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism of Artsakh Ashot Sargsyan said that  Michael Hayrapetyan, the administrator of the Artsakh State Dance Ensemble, in May, 2018 visited the Armenian school named after Vicente Lopez in Buenos Aires where he was offered to organize a teleconference between the Artsakh Dancing College and the Vicente López Armenian School.
Due to the teleconference the students of the Artsakh Dancing College and the students of the Vicente López Armenian School will have an opportunity to get acquainted with each other.
Welcoming such initiatives, Ms. Karine, Director of the Armenian Section at Vicente Lopez School in Argentina, said that they are very happy that Armenians living in two different parts of the world have an opportunity to communicate with each other directly and sincerely. Speaking about the role of the Armenian identity in Buenos Aires, Ms. Karine said:
"Many Armenians who survived the genocide, came to Argentina. The Armenians living at strange land were able to find strength, raising families with Armenian traditions. They provided their children with Armenian education and upbringing. By this logic, Armenians of Argentina in Buenos Aires, 1966 built an Armenian school, which is of great importance for the preservation of Armenian identity, and in 1968- the Church of St. Gevork.
We also have a kindergarten, an elementary school and college. The school also carries out the mission of spreading the Armenian language, culture and history in parallel with preserving the Armenian identity. By the way, once a week children attending Armenian school organize Day of Armenian dishes at any restaurant, and provide all the collected money to the school graduates to make a trip to Armenia.

Through the efforts of the local Armenians, in 2015, a cross-stone was erected in the square. Highlighting the role of Armenians in the development of Argentina, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of St. Gevorg Church, the Buenos Aires municipality in 2018 called the square "Armenia".

She also informed that Armenian language, Armenian literature, Armenian history, Armenian culture (song and dance, theater) being taught at the school. The abovementioned subjects are being studied not only by Armenian but also by foreign students.
