STEPANAKERT,  DECEMBER 4, ARTSAKHPRESSAs “Artsakhpress”reports, the students touched upon a number of issues: the change of teaching methods, age limitations and retraining of lecturers, the absence of a gym in the university, etc.
In response to the questions raised during the discussion, Arayik Haroutyunyan, candidate for technical sciences and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, who attended the meeting,  said that first of all the format of the training should be changed.
"We need to organize overtime hearings, roundtable discussions, etc. Psychological works should be done with students. Besides all these problems, at present we are facing challenges that are of great importance for the humanity.
Today, everything goes to automation, and at present the student should take into account that within 20 years all systems will work in that way. We are ready to assist any student. We will start taking practical steps in this direction already from January,”said Harutyunyan and noted that this year a project will be implemented in Sarushen's "Pedigree Station", according to which conditions will be created to enable students to go on internships.
In addition, students of the agricultural department of the university will be provided with a specialized mobile car that will enable them to visit the fields and get acquainted with the work done on spot, thus making the production experiments more efficient.
Lecturer of the university, Karen Nersisyan, who also attended the discussion, said that the problems raised by the students are bilateral, depending on both lecturers and students.
"The student must have motivation to learn and imagine their place in the labor market. Today's lecturer should not read the lecture or dictate it. This is very important because today the internet is available for students and they can also find those lectures. Over the past two years, the university has proven that there are certain achievements, “added Nersisyan.
The students also touched upon a number of other issues, made new proposals and expressed a desire to hold meetings in such formats in the future.
