STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 14, ARTSAKHPRESS: As "Artsakhpress"reports, Zhirayr Mirzoyan mainly touched upon issues related to spring sowing works, the activities carried out by the State Service For Food Safety, cattle breeding, including the “Regulation of animal husbandry and pasture management” program, irrigation systems, and state support measures for agriculture.
Speaking about the spring sowing, the minister said that according to the decision of the government of Artsakh, the crop rotation has become indispensible condition for receiving state support.
"Serious state support is being providing of spring sowing works. Last year, a 50% subsidy was granted to some land users for receivingsome crop seeds, and this year we will provide them fully free of charge.
Favorable conditions will be created for the spring sowing.
Speaking about State Service For Food Safety service, Zh. Marzipan noted that during spring sowing works, it is very important to use less chemical fertilizers.
Talking about the animal husbandry sector, the minister said that pigs should be kept in closed areas. It is aimed at preventing infectious epidemics. In case of small and large cattle, regular control is needed.
"In the 5 communities of Artsakh, we have launched the “ Regulationof animal husbandry and pasture management” program.
"We need to follow the process of feeding the animals so that we have high-quality productivity," said the responsible of the sector.
During the consultation the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Artsakh answered all the questions raised by the attendees.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Agriculture, Acting Head of Askeran Regional Department Vladimir Balasanyan, responsible of the sector,head of the communities, land users and others.
