In NKR National Assembly elections scheduled for next year, relation between majority and minority mandates will be 22/11, instead of current 17/16, Srbuhi Arzumanyan announced at the Central Electoral Commission Chairman’s press conference on December 24, noting that elections will be held in the first half of May.

STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 24, ARTSAKHPRESS:As Commission Chairman reported, new Electoral Code will enter into force from January 1, where the supplements on electoral deposit, pre-election funds, candidates' assets and income declaration and other issues will be included. Particularly, starting from the second number the ratio of male to female enrolment must be 4/1. The threshold for parliamentary representation has been reduced to 5% for parties, to 7% for unions of parties, as against 6% and 8%, respectively.

Pointing to the last year local self-governing bodies elections, S. Arzumanyan noted, that regular elections were held in 5 communities from 13, and early elections- in 6 communities. Two members of ''Azat Hayreniq'' party were elected as Community Heads, the others were non-party. According to CEC Chairman's report, except parliamentary elections, 200 local self-governing bodies elections will be organized in August next year.
