On the International Children's Day the Dilijan Development Foundation started its activities, established by IDeA Foundation (Initiatives for Development of Armenia), to promote the development of the city. Together with IDeA Foundation, on June 1, it supported the events dedicated to the International Children's Day in Dilijan.
That day about five thousand children received gifts and had the opportunity to participate in the celebrations throughout the day. Speaking to the reporters during a meeting the head of the new foundation Arthur Hakobyan noted, that their goal is to make Dilijan a cultural and tourist center, as well as formation of an attractive environment for tourists and investors.
"The projects are unique and have no precedent. We tend to think that they will be successful. In our vision, Dilijan must become an attractive center for investors and tourists, that develops in accordance with the international standards. The climate in Dilijan is special, and the choice of the city was not accidental. Our programs are important not only for Dilijan, but also for the development throughout the region. The Foundation's programs have three directions: economic development programs for the city and the region, the city's infrastructure development programs, and the sector of education and public life" – as reports “Armenpress”, said Hakobyan.
IDeA Foundation (Initiatives for Development of Armenia) implements strategic charitable initiatives for Armenia, Artsakh and Armenian Diaspora. The projects are aimed at preservation, rebirth and international recognition of national, spiritual and historical heritage, development of education, cultural enrichment and enhancement of competitiveness of the nation. IDeA was set up by RVVZ Foundation which was co-founded by Ruben Vardanyan and Veronika Zonabend.
