The Russian soldier, who was detained on suspicion of the murder of fellow serviceman Ivan Novikov—who was found dead on Monday at the backside of the 102nd Russian Military Base in Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia—has plead guilty to this crime.

STEPANAKERT, JUNE 15, ARTSAKHPRESS: Press service of the Southern Military Okrug (district) of the Russian Armed Forces informed about the aforesaid.
“According to preliminary information, the cause of the military serviceman’s death was a domestic dispute with the fellow serviceman,” the press service stated. “This fellow serviceman has been detained, and he is giving a confession.”
The Armenian and Russian parties have both launched criminal proceedings in connection with this incident, and on murder charges.
