Presentation of the 'Homecoming' film took place in Stepanakert

In support of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs of NKR, in connection with the 10th anniversary of the Khnus Cultural Foundation and the 11th anniversary of the National Council of the Western Armenia, the presentation of the Khnus Foundation’s documentary film “Homecoming” took place in Stepanakert.

STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 19, ARTSAKHPRESS:  In an interview with Artsakhpress, Samvel Mheryan, director, screenwriter and film producer of the Khnus Cultural Foundation , informed that the foundation was established in 2005.

 “During 10 years of activities, the foundation carried out a number of spiritual and patriotic projects and events. Among the implemented projects are the Khnus province’s map, "Lonely  falcon " historical novel authored by me, "Garden of Eden" documentary film, "The True Light", and  a series of spiritual poems. People from Khnus province and  children of  those who  survived  the Armenian Genocide took part in the foundation’s projects in Artsakh and Armenia, as well as in Russia, France, Ukraine,” noted Mheryan, adding that they aimed to carry out another spiritual and patriotic propoganda.


The film is presented only in the Armenian language, but they are going to translate it into Turkish also.

Paruyr Gevorgyan’s pilgrimage to the Western Armenia is described in the film, where the pilgrims passing through several towns- Ani, Kars, Van, Bitlis, Mush, finally reached  the  Khnus’s Burnaz  village and they found prominent  Aram grandfather's house.

The President of Western Armenia and the Head of the National Council Armenak Abrahamyan noted  that the National Council of Western Armenia was founded in 2004 in Shushi. In  2011-2014, the Government, the National Assembly (Parliament), the Institute of Western Armenia President were founded.

The Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Narine Aghabalyan, Minister of Education and Science Slava Asryan and Deputy Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Vahram Balayan attended the event.
