As it is known on July 15 of the current year Armenian businessman Levon Hayrapetyan was arrested in Moscow being accused of illegal economic activities.
As Artsakhpress reports in this connection the 674 young couples of the “Big Wedding in Artsakh” referred to the Russian law enforcement bodies demanding the release of the great philanthropist. The statement reads: ”Being the 674 young couples who tied the knot during the “Big Wedding in Artsakh” we consider invaluable the contribution of the great philanthropist to the development of Artsakh.
We are grateful to you for supporting both us and our children, for numerous charity projects aimed at bringing prosperity to Artsakh. In frames of the "Big Wedding" program 674 families were formed in Artsakh and for nearly 6 years 1200 births were registered.
Being well aware of Levon Hayrapetyan’s high human values we are convinced that the accusations against him are baseless. We hope that the Russian law enforcement and judicial authorities will demonstrate an objective approach to the investigation in the result of which the great benefactor’s innocence will be proved. We consider that the preliminary investigation body should change without delay the measure of restraint and clear Levon Hayrapetyan of the alleged wrongdoing, taking into consideration his health condition that is what worries us most”.
