Famous musician Serj Tankian, who is lead singer of the world-renowned American Armenian rock band System of a Down (SOAD), has composed the score for the feature film “The Last Resident,” which is about the Karabakh War, NEWS.am informed.

STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 19, ARTSAKHPRESS: “In my view, a wonderful job was done; a job done with love and devotion,” the film’s director Jivan Avetisyan said on Friday, as the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia and the “Hover” State Chamber Choir were preparing to record the about-50-minute film score which Tankian had composed.
“The Last Resident” was filmed in Khachmach village of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
It is about the drama of one man and presents the events that took place in 1988 and 1989, alongside the Sumgait tragedy. Even though it is not seen in the film, it has left its trace on people.
“The Last Resident” is a result of international cooperation. The movie stars famous actors from a variety of countries.
The film is in post-production, and it is expected to hit the movie screens in spring.
