18th century Armenian church in Bursa province of Turkey has been put up for sale for $1.5 million, Anadolu news agency reported, referring to an advert on a local property website.

STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 26, ARTSAKHPRESS: Three-story building reportedly has not functioned over the last few years and is partly destroyed.
Estate agent Tayfun Ozengirler told Anadolu agency correspondent that the area around the church had been once inhabited by Armenians. “You can smell the history on every corner,” Ozer said.
The church occupies 300m² with a surrounding area of 212m².
According to the source, Bursa, the capital of the Ottoman Empire, used to be a center of Armenian culture before the capture of Constantinople in 1453, and the Armenian Patriarchate was based in Setbasi before moving to Istanbul.
It is worth noting that Anadolu agency reports the news both in English and Turkish, although the Turkish version of the news contains no indication of the Armenian belonging of the church.
