STEPANAKERT, MARCH 23, ARTSAKHPRESS: Speaking to Tert.am, a member of the delegation, Karine Achemyan, said that they are now searching for ways to return to be back home.

Achemyan said that the key issues on the agenda were discussed at the Tuesday meeting which adopted committee reports addressing the political, economic and social areas.

“We had two issues to discuss today, but a decision was later made to suspend the activities. We are now looking for ways to return. You are aware that the Brussels airport is close. We are considering the possibility of returning through Amsterdam, as many are trying to leave Brussels now.”

Achemyan added that the police have tightened security in the city’s streets, with all the trading centers, apart from drug-stores, being close.

“We are trying not to leave hotel; that’s what our delegation decided. The situation is quite stable compared to the first day. People were very scared the and very anxious that day.     The metro [station] is close to our hotel”.

Achemyan said that the terror acts did not come as a shock to the Armenian delegates who are from a geopolitically volatile region, the country repeatedly coming under Azerbaijani gun attacks which at times also claim human lives.
