Armenian POW sent to third country from Azerbaijan
Hakob Injighulyan, the Armenian serviceman held captive in Azerbaijan after crossing into the country last year, has been sent to a third state, as Artsakhpress reports Tert.am learned from his brother.
“He was transported on August 26; we knew about it yesterday,” Harutyun Injighulyan told Tert.am, adding that they haven’t yet managed to establish contact with Hakob.
The family was informed of the handover from the ICRC’s office in Yerevan.
Injighulyan was detained in Azerbaijan on August 8 last year after he accidentally crossed the country’s border, having lost bearings of the terrain.
