STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 24, ARTSAKHPRESS: Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper Artiom Chernamorian said that "Israelahayer" is the only daily newspaper published in Eastern Armenian, which published each month.

"Armenian non-governmental organizations created in Israel, we have a  formed Armenian community. We needed an Armenian newspaper also. In the newspaper, we mainly focuses on the Armenian community in Armenia and on the events that take place in the country. Our goal is to present to the world the Armenian community of Israel. Our relationship with Artsakh and Armenia is very strong; however, there is no great cooperation in the information field. Unfortunately, we have no relation with the local media. Of course, there are some websites presenting the events taking place in Artsakh and Armenia, but they are very limited. We visit Armenia 1 or 2 times a year and provide information about Armenia and Artsakh for Armenians living in Israel. The Armenian community of Israel includes 7000 Armenians," he said.

Editor-in-Chief of Israel newspaper said that during the April events every Armenian living in Israel becomes both a soldier and a spokesperson, living with news coming from homeland. "In Israel, we have created a common body in 2013, which is called “Joint Committee in Jerusalem”. It includes representatives of various NGOs. At the initiative of “Joint Committee in Jerusalem” and “Nairi” Union, we visited Artsakh with a special mission. We brought medical assistance to Artsakh, equipped with Israeli special technologies.  Now, collaborating with the central military hospital of Stepanakert, we want to invite surgeons to Israel to undergo training courses. These activities are in progress, “said Chernamoryan and added that during April events the Armenians living in Israel held protest in front of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and government buildings. Their group was joined by Jewish intellectuals who loudly in English and Hebrew gave a shame on Israeli officials, who sell weapons to terrorists.
