Intentional behavior of Azerbaijan leaves no alternative to the Status Quo. Shavarsh Kocharyan
STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 12, ARTSAKHPRESS: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told the above-said in an interview with “Artsakhpress”, referring to Azerbaijani provocative actions from yesterday morning in some parts of contact line.
"April showed that Azerbaijan failed its blitz-Krieg and, in spite of its calculations, the potential of Armenian states was much higher. Such actions of Baku only hinder the resumption of negotiations, in particular, the implementation of the agreements of Vienna and St. Petersburg. Such intentional behavior of Azerbaijan leaves no alternative to the status quo, which is very often a subject of complaint by them. Otherwise, they would enable to implement these agreements, "said Sh. Kocharyan.
Speaking about the current stage of the negotiation process, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said that it should be divided into two platforms. The first one is negotiations, in connection with the settlement process. The second level is negotiations aimed at strengthening the ceasefire regime.
"Today we speak only about the second platform; we many times said that if there are shootings, provocations, speaking about progress in process of negotiations will be just a naivety. From this viewpoint, these recent provocations once again suggest that the Vienna agreements should be immediately implemented," he concluded.
