Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan holds meetings in Washington

As a part of his visit to USA, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan on December 5 met with the leaderships of two Armenian organizations in Washington and took part in the reception organized at the Armenain Embassy, press service of the NKR Government stated.

STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 7, ARTSAKHPRESS: Meeting with the leaders of the Armenian Assembly of America and the Armenian National Committee of America, the Prime Minister discussed the prospects of deepening the cooperation on pan-Armenian and NKR-related issues.

Arayik Harutyunyan highlighted the role of the two organizations on the decisions and raising the awareness of the US state bodies over Nagorno Karabakh. The parties stressed the importance of coordinated activities aimed at presenting the Armenian interests in the USA and providing comprehensive assistance to the NKR.

Thereafter, the NKR PM attended the reception organized in the Armenian Embassy in the United States. Clerics, Armenian community representatives, as well as foreign guests were taking part in the reception.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the USA Grigor Hovhannisyan welcomed Arayik Haroutyunyan, highlighting his visit abroad on raising awareness within the US state bodies and the Diaspora over the NKR.

The Prime Minister briefly presented the NKR state-building, economic development and security provision processes. He stressed the exclusive role of Diaspora over the NKR development and its international presentation by calling the participants of the event to support solving the NKR issues as much as possible.

Arayik Harutyunyan also answered a number of questions of participants which related to the NKR economy, foreign policy, defense system, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process and etc.
