Azerbaijan continued violating the ceasefire regime from various caliber small arms at the southern (Hadrut), eastern (Martuni-Akna) and north-eastern (Martakert) directions of the Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, the Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh reports.
Azerbaijani forces fire 60mm mortar at direction of Martakert
STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 14, ARTSAKHPRESS: The Ministry’s announcement reads:
“Overnight December 13-14 the Azerbaijani side continued violating the ceasefire regime over 90 times from various caliber small arms at the southern (Hadrut), eastern (Martuni-Akna) and north-eastern (Martakert) directions of the Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. During that period the Azerbaijani forces fired over 1900 shots at the Armenian positions, from which 56 shots were fired from SVD and Istiglal sniper rifles. In addition, the Azerbaijani forces fired also 60 mm mortar (3 shells) at the military position of Martakert.
The Defense Army forces mainly refrained from responding to the Azerbaijani provocative actions and took counter actions only in case of strict necessity.
The NKR forces continue confidently fulfilling their military tasks along the entire length of the frontline."
