Venezuela’s Supreme Court: Parliament can not dismiss president Maduro

STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 10, ARTSAKHPRESS: As the court noted, the parliament, according to the country's constitution, has no authority to dismiss the president. The court also asked the MPs to refrain from continuation of the process of announcing political responsibility of the state’s president and from adopting any acts, which go beyond the framework of the constitutional powers.

Besides, the Supreme Court of the country emphasized importance of dialogue for solution of political disagreements, Sputnik reported.

Venezuelan Constitution does not provide an opportunity to impeach the president. Nevertheless, Parliament has other tools to displace the president if there are strong reasons.
