Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro held the first meeting with opposition Democratic Unity Roundtable “MUD” in Caracas, Gazeta reported quoting Telesur.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 31, ARTSAKHPRESS: It was noted that after the meeting the sides will be able to begin a dialogue necessary for peaceful resolution of crisis in the country. Venezuelan Foreign Ministry Delcy Rodriguez was also present at the meeting.
Vatican representative, Monsignor Claudio Celli, Spain's former Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and Secretary-General of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) Ernesto Samper were present at a meeting as intermediaries.
Maduro emphasized that the beginning of a dialogue will become an opportunity to stop hatred and intolerance, “opening the way of love” which he called “the most powerful weapon for achieving peace”.
