Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto promised to fight for their national interests and defend migrants' rights during talks with the new U.S. administration, BBC reported.

He also noted that Mexico would work to keep a trade deal Mr Trump criticised. It should be noted that tariff-free commerce under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was signed by Mexico, Canada and the United States,
“It's clear that the US has a new vision for its foreign policy. Mexico has to act to defend its national interests,” he said.
