The expert group of the South Korea National Assembly concluded former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon can hold a public office in South Korea, despite recommendations by one of the UN resolutions.
South Korea parliament says Ban Ki-moon can run for president
STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 30, ARTSAKHPRESS: The parliament studied the resolution adopted back in 1946 and found out that the document contains recommendations, not a ban, Yonhap reported.
Ban Ki-moon came back to South Korea earlier this month after 10-years work as a UN Secretary General.
After impeachment to President Park Geun-hye amid corruption scandal, Ban Ki-moon is named one of the possible candidates for the post.
