The Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have proposed the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan to have a meeting on the eve of the Munich Security Conference, foreign minister Edward Nalbandian told a press conference.

STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 31, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: “The co-chairs proposed the foreign ministry of Armenia to have a meeting on the eve of the Munich Security Conference. A proposal was also made to organize a meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Of course we never refuse any meeting. But in terms of a meeting with Azerbaijan’s minister, I cannot confirm at this moment”, Nalbandian said, stressing it’s unknown what kind of tricks Azerbaijan can pull this time.
“We agree upon something, however on the last minute they pretend that for some reason they are unable, or even accuse that the Armenian side refuses to meet. They said that no meeting was held in Hamburg whatsoever, although the meeting proceeded in the presence of the co-chairs and the participation of the foreign ministers”, Nalbandian said, adding perhaps the meeting will be held on a ministerial level, if Azerbaijan doesn’t refuse.
