Azerbaijan made intense ceasefire violations in the Nagorno Karabakh – Azerbaijan line of contact. Azerbaijani forces fired more than 1100 rounds at NKR positions, the defense ministry of Artsakh Republic informs.
Azerbaijani forces use cannons and rocket-artillery systems in intense overnight NK ceasefire breach
STEPANAKERT, MARCH 1, ARTSAKHPRESS: The ministry released a statement, saying: “On February 28 and overnight March 1 the situation remained tense in the NKR-Azerbaijan line of contact. Intense ceasefire violations occurred overnight. Azerbaijani forces fired more than 1100 rounds at NKR positions from various caliber machine guns and artillery weapons. In the south-eastern direction (Martuni), in addition to firing D-44 cannons, Azerbaijani forces also fired TR 107 rocket-artillery systems (5 rockets). Yesterday, Azerbaijan had used a SPIKE anti-tike missile in the same direction.
The Nagorno Karabakh forces had no casualties as result of the violations.
The Defense Army of NKR took countermeasures when necessary in order to suppress the Azerbaijani aggression and confidently continued their service.
Currently the situation is calm”.
