STEPANAKERT, APRIL 25,  ARTSAKHPRESS: In an interview with “Artsakhpress”, director of the center, artist-designer Lilit Melikyan said that the idea of opening a branch in Artsakh has originated long ago.

“With our work we are trying to make Artsakh more interesting for tourists.

She noted that they use cloth with only Armenian traditional decorative patterns made in Armenia. "We have opened photo atelier in Yerevan. Soon a book about  the Armenian traditional costumes will be published, where we will present our entire collection.

We had an exhibition of Artsakh carpets and Artsakh traditional costumes. Some of them we have brought with us to Artsakh for making photos. She also noted that people will have also an opportunity to be photographed not only in the studio, but also in Artsakh historical sites.

The studio will have literature about Armenian traditional costumes. It will give an opportunity to learn more about Armenian, especially Artsakh traditional costumes.

"The purpose of the opening of this studio is not only to give people chance to be photographed in traditional costumes. It aims to study our Armenian culture. We will organize courses, discussions,” she explained.
