Armenia’s involvement in all dimensions of OSCE’s activity, as well as implementation of OSCE programmes in Armenia is indeed exemplary, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said during a joint presser with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier in Yerevan, News.am reports.
Armenia FM: Azerbaijan misused its veto right in OSCE
STEPANAKERT, MAY 30 , ARTSAKHPRESS: The visit of Mr. Zannier to Yerevan takes place at time when OSCE has to close its last office in our region because of Azerbaijan, the Minister said.
He added that Azerbaijan misused veto right so that the budget of Yerevan office was not approved.
“That is an act against OSCE,” Nalbandian emphasized, adding that both secretariat and the member states drew conclusions.
Armenian Foreign Minister and OSCE Secretary General had private talks followed by expanded meeting with delegations. They exchanged views on the activities and priorities of OSCE, parliamentary elections in Armenia.
“We highlighted importance of implementing Vienna and Saint Petersburg agreements, realization of which Azerbaijan continues to obstruct,” Minister Nalbandian said.
“During six years of work with Mr. Zannier we formed strong working and friendly relations. As most probably this is last visit of Lamberto Zannier to Armenia in capacity of OSCE Secretary General and I want to thank him and wish luck in his future endeavor,” Nalbandian added.
