Historic Armenian houses turned into hotels in Turkey

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 31, ARTSAKHPRESS: The centuries long Armenian houses built of special stones which keep them warm in winter and cool in summer, are of great interest to tourists visiting the city today, as Panorama.am informs, Ermenihaber reported.

According to the source, the houses, that now serve as guest houses, have 200-300 years of history. One of the Turkish directors of the houses, Zeynel Oskarman, noted the houses, which are historical monuments, belonged to Armenians, one of them even featuring an Armenian language inscription. He highlighted the guest house is highly demanded and always has no free room at the weekend.

Overnight stay, including breakfast, costs 150-200 liras (around 20000 AMD) at a double room unit of the guest houses.
