Russian president Vladimir Putin met with his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad who is on a working visit ti Russia.
Putin and Assad meet in Sochi
STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 21, ARTSAKHPRESS:During their meeting in Sochi, Russian president congratulated Assad “on the results achieved by Syria in the fight against terrorist groups”, adding that the Syrian people are going through tough period and “are gradually approaching the final, inevitable defeat of terrorists”, Kremlin said in a statement.
Putin introduced Assad to the leadership of the defense ministry and the Russian armed forces who are in Sochi for the series of meetings on military construction and the state arms program.
