Carpet production on the rise in Armenia

Carpet production decreased in Armenia in 2017 as compared to the production volumes in the previous year, however the overall production levels constitute growth per annum, according to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (NSS).

Carpet production on the rise in Armenia

STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 26, ARTSAKHPRESS:According to the source, 19.8 tons of carpets and carpet coverings have been produced in the republic in 2017 which is 20% increase to compare with the production volumes of 2016. To note, the production volumes amounted to 18 tons in 2016 and 41 tones - in 2015

To remind, last year PM Karapetyan highlighted on several occasions the possibilities and options for expanding the mechanisms of state support in light industry, including in textile, cotton fabrics, carpeting through granting certain privileges for the development of the manufacturing in provinces and creation of new job places.
