From April 21 to 22 Cup Tournament of Vanadzor’s Judo Academy was held in Lori province’s Vanadzor city in Armenia. The tournament was dedicated to the memory of April heroes.
Artsakh judoists win medals
STEPANAKERT, APRIL 23, ARTSAKHPRESS:Chief coach of Artsakh’s Judo Federation, Ivan Azizbekyan, told ArtsakhPress over 150 athletes from Artsakh, Armenia, Georgia and Cyprus participated in the tournament.
Speaking about Artsakh athletes who have captured prizes, the head coach said that Ashot Parsiyants captured the first place in the 30 kg weight class; Derik Tahmazyan captured the second place in the 60 kg weight category while in the weight classes of 30 kg and 34 kg Edvin Tovmasyan and Harut Amiryan respectively captured the third places.
Winners have been awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals, honorary certificates and a cup.
Ivan Azizbekyan informed that winners will also participate in international judo tournament to be held in Yerevan from May 4 to 5.
