Azerbaijani saboteurs have changed their minds and are going to appeal the Court verdict

Two members of Azerbaijani intelligence-diversion group - Shahbaz Guliyev and Dilham Askerov, who illegally crossed NKR state border from Shahoumyan region side and were sentenced to 22 years in prison and life imprisonment respectively on December 29, intend to appeal the verdict.

STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 27, ARTSAKHPRESS: The advocates of Azerbaijani saboteurs Eric Beglaryan and Arkady Israelyan told the aforesaid in the interview with ''Artsakhpress''.

"Although my client first didn't intend to appeal the decision of NKR First instance court of general jurisdiction, nevertheless, now he is going to appeal to the Court of Appeal of NKR owing to some disagreements with the decision of the court ", - said the lawyer of Dilham Askerov- Eric Beglaryan.

The defendant Guliyev’s lawyer Arkady Israelyan also noted that according to the demands of his client, he would file a notice of appeal in the Court of Appeal. Israelyan stated that after submission of the application in accordance with the procedure established by the Law, the Court of Appeal would consider it, and a decision regarding its validity would be made within the next month.

Remind that the defendants' lawyers told the press before, that their clients didn't intend to appeal the verdict of the Court of general jurisdiction, i.e a life imprisonment and 22 years in prison.
